4 .Upgarding Weblogic 10.3.5 to 10.3.6

The preinstalled version of weblogic is 10.3.5 in OBIEE 11.1.1.7.0 version (Enterprise edition).

Before upgrading weblogic 10.3.5 to 10.3.6

Note1: All the weblogic components & OBIEE components must be down.

Download upgrading weblogic 10.3.6 generic file from oracle support/e delivery. (or) from below links

Step1:

Unzip the weblogic generic zipfile/tar file. In some location called “/opt/softwares1/weblogic_10.3.6” contains

Wls1036_upgrade_generic.jar file and read me html file.

Step2:

Go to location of OBIEE oracle home/jdk/bin contains java file.

In ourcase /opt/oica/Oracle_BI1/jdk/bin contains java file.

Now run the file as $pwd

o/p /opt/oica/Oracle_BI1/jdk/bin

oica@oracleobiee bin]$java –jar /opt/softwares1/weblogic_10.3.6/ Wls1036_upgrade_generic.jar

Press enter key

It will extract 0%.................................and open a wizard screen

Then click on next button .

Step3:

Select use an existing middleware home.

In our case /opt/oica

Following screen will appear

Then click on next

Step4: 

Un select check box I wish to receive security updates via my oracle support.

Again it will ask confirmation click on yes button then click on next button.

Step5:

Following screen will appear

Check the check box I wish to remain uninformed of security issues in my configuration or this machine has no Internet access then click on continue.

Step6:

The following screen will appear.

Click on next

Step7:

It will select our Middleware home Directory as “/opt/oica”

And product installation Directories as under Weblogic Server “/opt/oica/wlserver_10.3”

Under this we can see the waning message as upgraded to10.3.6.0

Click on next

Step8:

Upgarding will takes place in terms of %

Once it is reached to 100% click on next button.

Step9:

In this screen you can see the installation complete message.

Uncheck the check box Run quick start. Then click on done.

That’s end’s the up gradation of weblogic 10.3.5 to 10.3.6

Note2: Now restart all webserver components and OBIEE components to install ODI.
